CLARKSVILLE

Welcome to Clarksville: For Walkability, History, and Character

Buyers fall for Clarksville when they want a neighborhood that is both deeply rooted in history and brimming with modern energy. Just west of downtown, it is a place where historic bungalows sit beside art galleries, where brunch spots and wine bars are just steps away, and where you are as likely to see a neighbor walking their dog as you are to spot a street mural in progress. Living here means trading traffic for strolls and finding that sweet spot where community, culture, and convenience meet.

Why people love it

We walk everywhere! To dinner, the grocery store, the park. It feels like a small town with the city at our doorstep.”  Tara D.

Jacquelyn’s Favorite Spot

Josephine House. Jacquelyn loves their lemon ricotta pancakes for brunch or a glass of rosé at the marble bar in the afternoon.

Johnathan’s Favorite Spot

Clark’s Oyster Bar. Johnathan is a sucker for seafood, and they have some of the best.  The seafood tower with an ice cold dirty martini is heaven.

Lifestyle Highlights

Clarksville Park is a pocket park in Austin's historic Clarksville neighborhood that features a playground, a splash pad, picnic tables, a multi-use field, and basketball and pickleball courts. It serves as a recreational hub with amenities for various ages, including public restrooms.

Jeffrey’s boasts multiple dining rooms including a bar and lounge, private dining rooms, and wine cellar. The menu highlights wood-fired dry-aged steaks, French-American classics, and signature seasonal specialties. The restaurant is home to one of the state’s deepest wine lists. The charming neighborhood location, old world service, and Texas hospitality make Jeffrey’s a true Austin gem.

Though One of Austin's best city parks sits just minutes west of downtown in the Old West Austin neighborhood. West Austin Park has an awesome off-leash fenced area for dogs. Kids love West Austin Park. There is a selection of playscape equipment for younger kids and a basketball hoop for spontaneous pickup games.
